Sign donated by Barlo Signs International of Hudson, New Hamshire
When it was decided by the La Salette Associates of Enfield, NH that they would support a fundraising project to build a school in the name of Bishop Donald L. Pelletier in Madagascar, generosity and kindness poured in from many different sources. This picture shows a family in the fishing village of Andika sur Mer with the mother holding a school bell that was presented to La Salette Associate who retired after many years of teaching at the Enfield Village School and donated by the associate for the Andika sur Mer School This is just one example of the many generous and kind donations made to honor Bishop Donald L. Pelletier and his 66 years of service as a La Salette Missionary Priest and Bishop in Madagascar.
Another generous donation was by Barlo Signs International located in Hudson, NH. They donated the 6” x 24” brushed aluminum sign that would adorn the school in the Bishop’s name. Baker Lumber of White River, VT donated the Mahogany used for the sign, and a associate completed the woodworking, the gold leafing, and the screen printing of the La Salette Cross. Truly a team effort and story that was picked up by Signs of the Times, the sign industry’s trade magazine and published on their electronic news site.
