"Come closer, my children; do not be afraid. I am here to tell you great news!"

We are happy and grateful for your visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette in scenic Enfield, New Hampshire. Welcome to a place of prayer and spiritual renewal. There is much that we have to offer to "Recharge Your Battery" ... in a manner of speaking!

We wish to be a Center of Reconciliation, taking our focus from the Apparition of the Mother of God, high up in the Alps of Southern France on September 19, 1846. She spoke of overcoming our fears, to come closer to her son with the help of the Scriptures and the Sacraments, and especially the celebration of the Mass & Confession.

Throughout the year come vist our shrine, which is located in the Upper Valley of the Connecticut River on the shores of Lake Mascoma. In winter we have our Festival of Lights, which runs for the entire month of December in preparation for Christmas. In the spring we offer programs that are an aid to understanding Lent and the Feast of Easter. In summer, we have several Healing Services which can provide new strengths for our bodies and spirits. In the fall spread over three days, we celebrate the Feast of our patroness, Our Lady of La Salette on September 19th.

Please explore the many options you can choose from to help make your visit with us more enjoyable. As pilgrims in search of a deeper bond with God and reconciliation in our relationships with one another, you are most welcomed. In the words of Our Mother at La Salette, we repeat what she said to the two young shepherds to whom she appeard in her beautiful Apparition ... "Come near, my children, do not be afraid. I am here to tell you great news!"

We also want to express our gratitude to the Byrne Foundation whose outreach has made it possible for us to build and maintain this website. In response to their generosity we assure them of our prayerful support in their continued efforts to collaborate and assist the many organizations that they support throughout the Upper Valley.

Where Faith Takes us (Holy Family: Genesis 15:1-6 & 21:1-3; Hebrews 11:8-19; Luke 2:22-40) Faith is mentioned twenty-four times in Chapter 11 of the Letter to the Hebrews, almost always in the phrase, “by faith.” Today’s readings highlight the faith of Abraham and Sarah, and God’s promise of a family…

La Salette Reflection December 20, 2020

Who? Me? (4th Sunday of Advent: 2 Samuel 7:1-16; Romans 16:25-27; Luke 1:26-38) When they first saw a globe of light at the place where they had eaten their lunch of bread and cheese, Maximin told Mélanie to hold on to her staff, in case of danger. They were terrified. The…

La Salette Reflection – 3rd Sunday of Advent December 13, 2020

Rejoice Always (3rd Sunday of Advent: Isaiah 61:1-11; 2 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24; John 1:6-28) We all know people who are not cheerful. Some are simply of a somber disposition; others are afraid of what lies ahead, or they may be mourning a loss, recent or old. In these and similar cases,…

La Salette Reflection – December 06, 2020

Comforting Justice (2nd Sunday of Advent: Isaiah 40:1-11; 2 Peter 3:8-14; Mark 1:1-8) About four months ago, we had the same Responsorial Psalm (85) as today, and we commented on the words, “justice and peace shall kiss,” as opposites. In the context of today’s readings, however, the perspective is different. In…
